Who do you trust? That's the question to ask. I'm not talking about which friend to trust with a most guarded secret, but invasion of ones home and who to trust then. Though I'm most likely getting ahead of myself. Let me give you a history lesson.
It is the year 2041, and, though we do not have flying cars, things are different. You see, about nine and a half years ago, oil was found on half of the Hawaiian islands. The United States government wanted to stat drilling, but the people who lived there wouldn't allow it. Instead of giving away the sweet, precious, oil they spilt off, and formed their own government. Making a new country. We lived well for eight year. We were treated well by the other countries, and The United States shared no hard feelings. We traded with other countries, and even built a monorail system that connected the islands. Then one day it all came apart.
On the tenth year a small group of rebels broke into our weapons stock-hold, and launched a missile that destroyed a small town. Twenty-Five-Thousand-Six-Hundred-Eleven died that day. We told The United States president what had happened, and about the rebels. They said they believed us, but evidently they did not. Very recently a high ranking, military general died, and in his wallet we found a United States I.D. tag. This meant he was a spy, and we presume there are more. Maybe they wish to reclaim us as land, or maybe they just want revenge. Which brings us back to the question: who do you trust?
Now before you ask why I am trusting you, I do not, but you are the only one I can talk to. My name is Kate Danvers, I am the daughter of President Mark Danvers, and I have one question: who do you trust? I hope it is you.
