Infiltration And Retaliation, Epilogue Part 1, Brian Bagely

Once we got out, everyone there crowded Kate, like she was a hero. In a way... I guess she was. But while everyone crowded her, I slipped away and ran. I got to a small part where no one was there, then I called a helicopter. I was going home, going home. I didn't want to go home... but it was because of Kate, and we know why that wouldn't work.

In the heli, I was debriefed. The tape I had recorded had enough evidence to prove the country's innocence. The U.S. government apparently trusted them enough to let them decide the Leader's punishment. Which turned out to be execution, karma's a @#$%*.

When I got back home, I went to college to become a engineer. My family didn't want to see me. What was funny though was that I really loved Kate. She even managed to teach me something: you can't spend your entire life helping, you have to follow your dreams... unless your dream is to help. Then you're gold.
