"You can begin by doing your job."
"Ummm... my job is for you to tell me what to do."
"HAHA, that is actually funny." I don't know why I laughed at that. It was not that funny. Something about Brian just made me laugh. "Heh. I need to go to the marketplace."
"What for?"
"Clay. May we go there?"
"Why are you asking me?"
"Because, since my father made you my bodyguard, you have control over where I go."
"Hmm... any danger?"
"Not unless you're allergic to animals."
"I guess."
"Let us go then." The marketplace was close to our home, about one block away. Because of this it didn't take long to get there. The marketplace itself is different.
There are about ten blocks of stalls, and there is at least one for everything. Groceries, games, cats, are just some of them. Brian looked a little lost, almost like he had never been there before, but I knew exactly where to go. The art supplies stall. For once Brian was silent, as I walked to the stall. When I got there the owner, Hilda said:
"Katherine, so good to see you. Here to get your clay?" She was a thin, old, woman, but she was sweet and loved her work. I even owned some of the paintings she did.
"Yes ma'am"
"And who's this."
"This is Bagely, he's our butler, and here to help us."
"That's nice. Your clay is five dollars." We traded, I gave her the money, and she gave me the clay. As we walked away she said: "Come back soon."
We kept walking, stopping to look at stalls. When Brian finally said what had on obviously been on his mind.
"What do you need clay for?"
"What do you think?"
"Sculpting."
"Correct."
"Could I see some of your work?"
"... It is private."
"Oh... why don't you trust me."
"I... it is..."
"Forget it that was out of line." but he was right. I didn't trust him, I didn't trust anyone. I think that's why I did what I did next. he said.
"Do you think I could get a book?"
"Do it on your free time."
"But ma'am... I don't get any free time."
"It is a problem, is it not?" Then I just smirked at him and walked ahead. When I looked back he looked hurt, but I... I do not know why I did that. He honestly did not deserve that.
Then someone yelled:
"For the rebellion!"
"Miss get down!" BOOOM!!!!!! I was thrown behind something, there was heat coming from all sides. Then everything was dark.
